This, and the other two in the series, (Dawning II and Dawning III), were painted with a slightly different colour palette, which surprised me. At first I though it quite dull. But they turned out looking like the early morning light as it creeps into the day.

The boxed wooden canvas is made by me from discarded wood. I always like to paint around the sides too (see photo below).
